Inside the UGG Fluff Momma Launch at The L8te.
Last week, we headed to The L8te in Dalston to document the launch of the revived UGG Fluff Momma, a Y2K classic making a well-timed comeback for winter. The event was hosted in collaboration with Girls in Film, who took over the space for a weekend of screenings and creative programming.
The night we attended had a calm, intimate feel: low lights, great outfits, soft textures everywhere and an easy flow between the film and the crowd. Guests settled in with free-pouring Wine from Unchartered Wines, popcorn, and that familiar East London mix othat familiar East London mix of laid-back momentum. The main feature was a screening of The Bling Ring (2013), the perfect throwback to match the early-2000s spirit of the shoe.
A short interval halfway through gave everyone time to grab more drinks, chat or slip outside for a quick cig break. It kept the evening social, all in stride.
Around the screening space, an exhibition of winter looks and cosy textures added another layer to the night. Not everything was UGG-branded, but it all leaned into the theme: warm, tactile, and unapologetically Y2K-meets-city-girl. The L8te’s transformation into a soft, immersive set made the whole experience feel more like stepping into a curated world than attending a product launch.
As 1711, we were invited to document this private event and capture the atmosphere as it unfolded. We focused on the details, the textures, and the quiet moments between scenes that make nights like this so memorable. Some of our favourite shots from the evening are featured above.
The UGG Fluff Momma is now available at online and in-store @ LN-CC. After seeing them up close, we can confirm they’re set to be one of our staple looks this winter.
