CASE STUDY
Client: YourCinema in partnership with Identity School of Acting
Duration: 4 weeks
Location: London
-
1711 Studios partnered with Identity School of Acting to support its presence at the Our Stories Festival, an event centred on diverse voices and authentic representation in film and performance. The brief was to position IDSA as an active advocate within the industry while increasing awareness of the festival and driving attendance.
-
In a crowded festival landscape, IDSA needed to show up with clarity and purpose. The school’s values strongly aligned with the festival’s mission, but this connection needed to be communicated clearly to audiences before, during, and after the event.
The challenge was to translate those shared values into a visible, coherent presence that felt genuine rather than promotional.
-
Our team created short-form content and designed storytelling-driven materials to give potential attendees a sense of the energy and values behind the festival. We began by shaping a clear narrative that connected IDSA’s commitment to real representation with the festival’s wider cultural purpose. From there, we developed a visual and storytelling framework that could live across physical spaces, digital platforms, and audience touchpoints.
Rather than treating the festival as a one-off activation, we positioned it as part of a broader conversation around advocacy, access, and representation within the industry.
Our work included:
Defining IDSA’s narrative within the context of the festival
Developing visual and editorial direction aligned with the festival’s mission
Creating story-led assets to communicate values, not just information
Working closely with festival organisers to ensure alignment across messaging
-
To support visibility, we led a coordinated rollout across event and digital channels.
This included:
Branded assets across the festival space to establish a cohesive presence
Short-form content and storytelling materials to build anticipation and context
A social media rollout targeting both IDSA’s community and the wider festival audience
Community-led engagement designed to drive awareness and ticket sales
All activity was aligned to the same narrative, ensuring consistency across physical and digital environments.
-
Increased visibility for both IDSA and the festival
A noticeable uplift in ticket sales during the campaign period
Strong engagement across social platforms
Clear positioning of IDSA as an advocate for representation within the industry
-
The campaign positioned IDSA as a credible voice within industry advocacy while supporting the festival’s mission and reach. Through clear narrative framing and cohesive visibility, the partnership felt intentional, values-led, and culturally relevant.
This project reflects 1711 Studios’ approach to cultural PR: grounding visibility in purpose, aligning messaging across platforms, and supporting moments that matter within culture.
